The basket-weaving tradition in Envigado has more than 60 years of history. It consists of interlacing fibers such as guadua bamboo, wicker, iraca palm, and dog intestine vine to create functional and decorative baskets and hampers. This artisanal practice reflects local creativity and ingenuity, keeping alive a cultural expression that connects generations.
